My research explores the intersections of art, environmental activism, and social justice, with a focus on how contemporary artistic and curatorial practices engage with ecological crises such as climate change, pollution, and environmental degradation. Projects like Ephemeral Coast (2014–2019), funded by SSHRC, investigated coastal vulnerability and resilience through interdisciplinary exhibitions, while my current work, Visualizing Oceanic Climate Change in Modern and Contemporary Art, examines how artists use visual storytelling to address the environmental and social impacts on the world’s oceans.
